Denise - Volunteer

Denise is one of our lovely volunteer cutters, she cuts our beautiful materials into strips of different sizes as required.  She first heard about PICCPals at one of her Women's Institute group meetings.  At this meeting Nikki spoke so passionately about the group and the work that they were carrying out that she wanted to know more 

"I went along to a session a couple of years ago and have been going ever since!  Nikki and the group were so welcoming and I very much enjoy being part of the team.  I am pleased to be able to give something back as I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, I had several surgeries, followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. 

I hope that anyone going through any type of treatment is comforted by receiving the sleeves from PICCPals and to know that people are thinking of them as they cut, sew, pack and post.  It really is a fabulous organisation"
