Fin Tee - The T-shirt for Very ImPORTant People
The inspiration for creating these T-shirts is a young man called Finlay who ended up with a port during a course of chemotherapy. The initial idea behind the T-shirt design is for the wearer to be comfortable, whilst allowing access to the port without too much exposure.
Fintee sewists are also based in Southend and Essex and work closely with the PICCPals team to provide tees at a no-cost fee to the recipients. All of their work is completed on a purely voluntary basis.
Tee shirts are based on size rather than age and they currently use unisex tees in medium, large and XL. As they provide all T-shirts for free, they are not for resale. Postage and packing, if required, will also be free.

Annette and her daughter Vicki introduced Hearts of Hope CIC in memory of their daughter and big sister Debbie. In their mission to spread the love, one of their 'Hearts' is included free of charge in every pack of sleeves that is sent out by us at PICCPals for patients undergoing breast cancer.
HoH also partner with Breast Friends CIC and a 'Heart' is included free of charge in their 'Surgery Kit' as a reminder that even in the toughest times you are never alone.
We have a successful partnership with Kayes Textiles, a retailer of all things fabric and haberdashery, based in Westcliff and hosting an on site sewing school.
On the first Wednesday of every month, Kayes Textiles turns over their teaching rooms and machines to PICCPals at no cost. Zöe Goodwin, one of their teachers (and also a founding member of PICCPals) teaches new volunteers how to cut and sew the covers (also at no cost). New volunteers get to understand the work we do and many people go on to become fully fledged PICCPals.
Kayes Textiles also help us source lower cost fabrics and packaging to keep our costs at a minimum so that we are able to produce even more covers- as well as gifting us some fabrics.

The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, have been affected by breast cancer, or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer and its early detection and treatment.
There are a large number of such charities in the UK, each as deserving as the next. Many of the charities supported are the smaller ones, which operate on a shoestring.
The Pink Ribbon Foundation has very little infrastructure. It relies on the hard work given by Trustees, interested parties and its Patrons. This is done in order to maximise the amount, which goes to the charities that benefit from the funds raised.
Preloved Reloved - Cancer & Beyond is a registered charitable organisation (1208222) that collects, recycles and sends out donations of essential items that can be passed onto anyone going through a cancer diagnosis. Spreading joy to those who need it most.
Its mantra 'Together we're turning second hand into second chances' is a perfect description of the collaborative work we do together as Preloved Reloved takes both new and nearly new PICC line covers made by us and redistributes them to those in need.
By working with this fabulous charity we are reducing our carbon footprints and preventing unused or nearly new sleeves from entering landfill - it's a fabulous partnership.
Eleanor is 18 and was given the news that she had cancer in October 2024! She was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and one of the hardest things for her was losing her hair. It really knocked her confidence and she just wanted something that helped her to feel a bit more like herself. That’s why she teamed up with the team at PICCPals to create these headscarves, designed especially with young people in mind. She explains "They’re soft, easy to wear and actually cute (because let’s be real... hospital stuff can be kind of ugly). Whether your vibe is basic colours for matching with outfits, or having a crazy pattern to express yourself, there’s something for everyone!" And the headscarves are completely free for anyone going through treatment to help patients feel comfortable, confident and seen. .
She says " RigWraps comes from my nickname Riggz, when I was coming up with the idea for the name of the range, it just felt right. So now, RigWraps isn’t just a nickname, it’s a little piece of me, wrapped up in something that I hope helps you feel a bit stronger, braver and more like yourself"
